Return transport from Ormond to Alexandra will be provided to students and adults for an additional fee. It is expected that we will hire a bus for this purpose. Final transport price is subject to numbers and will be a simple sharing of actual costs. Parents may drive their kids separately if they prefer. |

We have booked exclusive use of Alexandra Adventure Resort, just outside Alexandra in North Central Victoria, an hour an hour and 45 mins North of Melbourne. Nutritious full catering is included in the price and the camp will give us access to an exciting range of team-building camp activities in addition to our chess program. Accommodation is in heated cabins with ensuite facilities. Students need to bring a pillow, bedsheet, doona/sleeping bag and towel. Students have the option to attend with parents or be supervised by our group leaders. Alexandra Adventure Resort is situated on the Goulburn River in a picturesque part of central Victoria. Camp Itinerary (tbc)
Overview
The expectation is to run 6 x small group coaching sessions (streamed according to ability) plus 1 or 2 hours of one-on-one coaching. We will also do post-game analysis and pre-game preparation for the tournament games. There will be a 7 round tournament (25min games, recording moves) and a Blitz Tournament (5 minute games). We will break up the program with an appropriate level of non-chess activities, including a selection of the great team-building exercises offered at Lyrebird Park, and will also run a variety of fun and educational evening activities
